Mallory and Joe’s wedding..

On the 22nd of July I became Mrs Launchbury! It was truly the most amazing day and I loved every minute of it. I wish we could do it all over again, and there is honestly nothing I would change. The venue, food, photographer and other suppliers all helped to make it such a special occasion, I thought I would share with you some of the suppliers that really stood out for those of you planning your own weddings, they all came highly recommend to us so I thought I would repay the favour and recommend them to you!

We had our wedding at Somerleyton Hall in Suffolk where we exclusively hired the hall for the whole weekend, this was perfect for us because most of our family and friends had to travel from far and wide to be with us so it was great to have our nearest and dearest staying with us for the whole weekend. The hall is the most beautiful wedding venue, with stunning gardens and grounds and beautiful interiors. The bedrooms are all decorated to perfection and It felt so much more homely then a hotel. We had our own two butlers for the weekend and they were both incredible and also played the piano throughout the weekend which was a beautiful touch!

Brasted’s provided the catering for our wedding weekend and the food was outstandingly good!  They offer weddings at their own venue as well as catering for several other venues across norfolk and suffolk. Hattie and I actually used to waitress for them when we were teenagers. They ran everything on the day and it went perfectly! All our wedding stationary from invites to menus were maid by Paper Pear Co I couldn’t recommend them more! Samantha was so efficient and professional to work with.

Photography was very important to us because after the day is over they are something you can keep forever. If you are looking for a wedding photographer look no further! We found Simon buck upon recommendation and we are so glad we found him! We intitially met with Simon to have a pre-wedding shoot which we loved. He made us feel so comfortable and made the whole shoot so much fun, when we saw the photos he had captured we knew he was going to do an amazing job of our wedding photos and I maybe biased but he hasn’t disappointed! He really helped to ensure the day ran smoothly he was instructive and helpful. He’s truly fantastic at what he does as well as being a lovely guy. Simon somehow knowing how impatient I would be to see the photos emailed some taster images across the next day, which was so exciting for us! We absolutely love the photos we have seen so far and can’t wait to get the rest of the collection.

Our beautiful flowers were by The Garden Gate  Denise was amazing. I had several meetings with her and she really pulled of my vision on both the Friday night and the wedding day!

Ideas box provided us with a lovely pimms tricyle for our drinks reception as an option instead of champagne and an ice cream tricycle for later in the evening with our chosen flavours – both were a huge hit!

Opera on the run performed in between courses, they surprise your guests and they are incredible. I grew up loving to sing opera and classical music and I even ended up performing with them at the end which I was not planning to do! It was terrifying but so much fun! I would so recommend them as they really made the day and create an amazing atmosphere, they are best kept as a surprise so the majority of your wedding party are surprised! My mum as you can see loved them too!

We really wanted to have our wedding highlights videoed because I have always loved looking back on family videos they are so special and really help keep the memories alive. We chose Thompson and Granger Gary and Brendon were great they were not intrusive at all and we are so excited to see the finished video!

I hope some of these recommendations come in useful to some of you brides to be! (I will be posting separately about hair and makeup recommendations.)

Love M xx
