Wedding countdown…

I can’t believe I’m getting married next week. I’m feeling really overwhelmed and emotional at the moment, our wedding day is something we have talked about and imagined for such a long time I can’t quite believe it’s really happening and I get to marry Joe.It amazes me on a daily basis that I have found someone who makes me so happy and truly is my best friend. I feel so lucky that he wants to marry me!

This wedding planning lark isn’t for the faint hearted, it’s been exiting and fun but boy has it been stressful! I’m not someone who handles stress particularly well and I’m surprised that Joe still wants to marry me after this planning process.

We have had a few things go wrong along the way like our venue parting ways with the caterers after we had already done our food tasting, our organist cancelling and having to chase ties and pocket squares around the country. Sadly Korey can’t come to our wedding because of pre season training abroad which is really upsetting for us all but especially Hattie!

I’m trying to enjoy these last few days of preparation and not get to weighed down by the finer details. I know it will be special day no matter what and I just can’t wait to be Mrs Launchbury! Things seem to be coming together and I am getting more and more excited. I am sure I am driving people crazy on Instagram with my wedding countdown but I Just can’t wait!

I would love to hear from you all about your own weddings? what your favourite part of your wedding day? Any wedding day tips?

Love M xx

  1. Hope you have a fantastic wedding. Just remember- anything that you know isn’t right, certain drink missing or something in the wrong place, a bridesmaid with wrong shoes doesn’t mean that your guests know it isn’t right because they don’t know what to expect and in their eyes it’s perfect no matter what. So enjoy it! Xx

  2. I got married two years ago. It was the best day of my life. We married before moving abroad and only had 4 months to plan it all. It was incredibly hectic but it was all part of our new adventure! My tip would be to try and savour every minute on the day because it goes so quickly! I remember my husband and I taking a step back for five minutes in the afternoon just to try and let it sink in. Don’t let anything stress you just enjoy it!
