I can’t believe my baby is 2! Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday we had a tiny baby and she is now this tall beautiful little girl who chats away and has an answer for everything! She has grown up far to quickly but I am so proud of the little person she is becoming. She is so loving and kind and such a clever funny little girl. I was massively feeling the mum guilt this birthday because I was struck down with the dreaded flu on her birthday on Tuesday. With her party planned for the Saturday the race was on to get better. Unfortunately I still wasn’t feeling brilliant but the party went ahead with the help of my family and we all had a lovely day.
The Party had a unicorn theme because who doesn’t love unicorns? They are so magical! It was mainly because I wanted her to have a unicorn birthday cake. I couldn’t have been happier with how the cake turned out, we had it made by the Cakery in Leamington Spa along with some cupcakes and we made some lemon meringue cupcakes ourselves. I bought decorations and party cups and plates from Meri -Meri and not on the high-street. My favourites were these make yourself unicorn balloons by Meri Meri which I gave Joe the very manly job of making! I love hosting and throwing parties especially ones with a theme. Having been ill all week and unable to leave the house I felt a little bit unprepared but luckily I had organised most things in advance and it all turned out perfectly.
Some people were very into the theme, Blythe’s godfather Elliot came dressed as a man riding a unicorn. It was amazing and my mum had a movable unicorn head mask which was amazing but a little bit scary!
Blythe had a lovely party and was spoiled with love, attention and presents as usual by friends and family. She keeps asking for her party back now that its over and telling us she misses her birthday! Lucky for her Christmas is round the corner so she has lots more excitement to come!
