Dressing for a christening…

I found it so hard to find an outfit for Blythe’s Christening. I wanted to wear white and I wanted it to be special but I didn’t want to be over the top and look like a wedding dress. I finally found this skirt and top combo from Needle and Thread who I love! They do the most beautiful embellished dresses, tops and jackets and I love their tulle skirts. My outfit was actually from their Bridal range which is beautiful if you want to spend a bit less and still want something detailed and embellished for your wedding day I would recommend checking them out. I want all their dresses! The top was so beautiful and detailed with an open back and my skirt was lovely soft tulle. I paired my outfit with a Topshop blazer and silver heels from Asos. I had to change out of my heels because I was sinking into the grass so threw on some sparkly Zara flats. Lots of people asked me what they should wear to the Christening because they weren’t sure how dressy they should be. I think it is always nice to dress up for an occasion so would lean towards being more smart.

Hattie’s dress was so so pretty  I loved it and have also had it in my ASOS basket for weeks. It was from New Look on ASOS and it was so stunning. She wore it with a nude pair of heels from Office. These shoes go with everything! Otis looked super cute in his outfit which was from Next, it had the cutest little bow tie too.

Blythe’s dress, shoes and flower hair clip were all from monsoon. I love monsoon for children they have some really beautiful things especially their party and occasion wear. I am in love with Blythe’s dress it was perfect for the day but would also make a great flower girls dress for a wedding.

Hope you like our Christening looks,
Love M xx
