Blythe’s Christening..

We had Blythe Christened on Saturday and it was such a lovely occasion. We had her Christening in Norfolk in a pretty little church near to my mums house and held a party afterwards in my mums garden. We travelled to Norfolk on Wednesday to prepare and set up for the party. I love getting ready for a party! We were a bit concerned about the weather because it has been so unpredictable so we spent Thursday building various tents and marquees incase of rain. Luckily on the day we only had a couple of showers which only lasted a few minutes. People arrived at my Mum’s house at 1.30 and we walked down the lovely country lane to the church for the service. It was a lovely service and Blythe reacted much better the expected to having water poured over her head.

We hired a Catering company  Called Trio’s Catering, to serve afternoon tea when we arrived back from church and we were so so impressed with them. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and everything was presented beautifully. They were really professional and efficient and clearing everything away. They also provided vintage crockery which was so pretty. I would highly recommend them If you are planning a party in the Norfolk/suffolk area and looking for caterers. I had so many comments about how amazing the food was and I am still craving their chocolate brownie! We had Blythe’s beautiful cake made by Crumbs of Joy and again we were so so impressed with them. They were able to make the cake at really short notice and it was perfect! Not only did it look amazing but it tasted so delicious. I would thoroughly recommend them if you are looking for a cake. My mum and my stepdad made a beautiful flower B using fake flowers and wire and it was such a beautiful centre piece.

We laid out Crocket and a few garden games which were very popular with our party guests, as the day went on the Crocket got more and more competitive! It was lots of fun. Blythe had so much fun playing with her friends and spinning around in her party dress.

It was such a lovely day and I am so grateful to my mum and my step dad for all their hardwork. We were really taken aback by the effort our friends and family went to to be their with people travelling from all over the country. We had the perfect day and hope everyone else did too!  Blythe has been well and truly spoilt with beautiful christening gifts  and if a very lucky little girl! It was so lovely to have all those closest to us their for the occasion.

Love M xx
