I love Paris and I have been a few times now, this weekend I headed to Paris to support Joe and England Rugby in the 6 nations final. There are so many things to do and see in Paris but this weekend I was there for just over 24 hrs so there wasn’t much time for sight seeing. I travelled with some of the other girls Via Euro star which is really quick comfortable way of getting there. We travelled in standard premier which means the seats are a little bigger and comfier and you get food and drink included in your ticket price, which is a nice bonus. It is a great way to travel in a group as you can get a table and it makes the short 2 hr journey pass by quickly.
We stayed in the hotel du collectionneur which was really lovely and in a great location only a short walk to the champs elyse. We headed for lunch at one of my favourite places in paris, Hotel Costes. This is a popular celebrity hot spot. It is great for people watching full of fashionable Parisians. They don’t take large bookings so we had to book two separate tables as we were a big group. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful covered courtyard and you can hear birds sounds of birds chirping its a really relaxing atmosphere perfect for a long lunch. I had duck for my lunch and their famous cheesecake for desert. I would really reccomend both especially the cheesecake! After lunch we had a quick cocktail in the bar before heading back to our hotel to change for the game.
It was a tense game but England were victorious in winning the 6 nations and the Grand slam. I am so proud of Joe for the part he played in the tournament. It is an amazing achievement after coming second the past few years it was great for them to finally get the win. The game didn’t finish till 11.30 so we headed straight to Yeels a club/bar and restaurant in the hotel Charles V. There was a great atmosphere in there and the music was amazing. I had such a lovely 24 hrs in Paris with a great group of girls supporting our partners and celebrating England’s success.
