Best of 2015…

Hello 2016! 2015 has been an amazing year and we thought it would be fun to share with you some of our highlights. Every year of course has its ups and downs but that is what makes life such an interesting journey. I have to say as cheesy as it sounds 2015 has been one of the best years of my life. It has been year of firsts watching my daughter Blythe grow and turn one has been incredible. Parenthood is a rollercoaster journey and I am so lucky to have such an amazing partner along for the ride with me.  Some of my favourite memories are our first family holiday, and  Blythe taking her first steps.

2015 will always be special not only because Blythe turned one but because Joe asked me to marry him. I feel so lucky and excited to marry my best friend! Joe recovered from a neck operation and returned to playing rugby, he was named in the England World cup squad and played in every game. This was an incredible achievement after such a long painful injury. Although the final results of the world cup were not what we had all hoped for I am so proud of him.

Hattie found out she was pregnant this year, which is another amazing blessing and although she has had quite a hard pregnancy we can’t wait for the newest addition to our family to arrive! Hattie and Korey bought and moved into their new family home. Hattie celebrated her 21st birthday although it is hard to believe, I always feel like we are the same age! She has always been an old soul.

Bristol city, Korey’s football team were promoted after an amazing almost unbeatable season and capped it off by winning the league cup at wembley. They got to go on some amazing holidays together during his time off and all round it was such a special year for them both.

We started blogging, something which we had talked about for years. We have been overwhelmed by the support and success we have had and would like to thank you all for reading our posts! We are loving it and look forward to what 2016 holds for BOURN SISTERS!

It has overall been a great year and we can’t wait to see what 2016 will hold for us all. We wish you all a Happy New Year and hope it is a good one. We love hearing from you and would love to know what your favourite posts have been and what you would like to see more of in 2016.

Love M xxx
