Trying to stay stylish during pregnancy is a struggle but I think super important. It’s hard to try and find clothes to wear in that middle stage where you can notice a bump but to someone else it could easily just be a ‘bit of a belly.’ I found as early as 10 weeks my normal jeans were starting to feel snug. Maternity clothing is really limited and I’ve found goes from one extreme to the other. I find quite a lot of it super mumsy and old which is completely not the look I’m going for as I’m still young.
For jeans I think Topshop and Asos is quite good. Asos offers more variety but if you prefer somewhere you can go in to try on, Topshop usually has a few options if the store is big enough. I’m usually a size 6 and have been wearing size 8 maternity jeans for comfort. They’re quite annoying and I feel I’m forever pulling them up but I prefer that than something tight and uncomfy. This mustard top I’m wearing is from Asos Maternity and I also have it in pink. I’ve paired it with these Asos biker boots and a leather jacket from Mango. My jeans are Topshop Maternity. I’ve recently just bought 2 black pairs of Maternity leggings from Asos which are amazing! I’d live in them if I could. I was never a legging fan before pregnancy but they’re so comfy and the band comes over your bump which I love. I’d recommend getting these in your size or a size smaller as I found came up quite big. (I got an 8 and wish I’d gone for the 6)
I’ve found that I’m still able to buy tops from normal sections in most shops, as long as the style is right, just getting the size bigger. This shirt is from Whistles, I’ve still got plenty of room even with bump and the length is great. My boots are last season Kurt Geiger but they always have this style in there. Autumn is my favourite time of year for fashion. I love layering and wearing hats and scarves. My hat here is from Topshop, they along with Zara do some lovely big knit scarves that I’m loving to cover me and bump. They look great along with a coat or jacket and also can be worn as wrap cover up. I find keeping my clothes fairly basic this season but accessorising with layers, hats and scarves looks great. It’s also easier for us with a bump as a plain comfy T can still look stylish.
I hope this helps some of you lovely pregnant ladies. Let me know how you all get on! H xx
